These cabinets are so detailed and look absultely amazing. Down to the last detail and the screens and sound are great, the controls are awesome too!
The early 80’s arcade game Qix has always been maddeningly difficult, but - like a lot of the classics - that’s what keeps you coming back for more.
Quarter Arcade has established themselves as one of the best mini arcade companies out there. Each game is lovingly recreated in great detail, so the games look and play just like their full size counterparts. Accurate artwork reproductions, scaled joysticks and buttons, and illuminated marquees. The ROMS are also from the originals (no console versions here) and they are emulated to play exactly as you remember them.
My purchase from Just Geek was fantastic. Pricing was reasonable and I was kept “in the loop†every step of the way, from pre-order to delivery.
Two thumbs up. ðŸ‘
This game takes me back to a time when the arcade was the place to go as a kid. We would ride our bikes to the mall and spend hours feeding these machines our quarters. Qix was always a fun game for such a simple concept. Merely fill in the screeen by quick drawing or slow drawing areas to capture. Beware the deadly Qix though, that bugger almost always tagged a line I was drawing halfway through to my chagrin! This 1/4 scale cabinet brings back a flood of memories from the sights and the sounds and the gameplay is spot on as well! Worth the price to add to your collection, this is a great cabinet to have.
Hi,
My Qix game came with a rattle that sounded line there was a loose marble inside.
I opened the back to investigate and found the battery was loose and swinging around with no mount.
I resolved it by using a plastic tie to secure it.
This quarter-scale reproduction of the Taito QIX arcade machine is very well made. The attention to detail is outstanding and the screen is very crisp and easy to look at. It's surprisingly playable for being as small as it is. It's also very nice to see that Numskull has used the MAME ROM rather than some other version. Definitely worth buying!
