If you’re anything like me, your interest in dinosaurs began when you first saw Jurassic Park. Released in 1993, the film kickstarted a dinosaur fascination for many people, spurred on by subsequent films released in 1997 and 2001. After all, who could resist the booming roar of a T. rex or the gliding elegance of a brachiosaurus?

Even now, decades later, Jurassic World is continuing the legacy, ensuring that sense of wonder we all felt in the 90s hasn’t faded. If anything, I’m a bigger fan now than I ever was.

But, as the franchise has evolved, my love of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World goes beyond watching the films. It’s all about collecting, and there’s a host of merchandise and collectables out there. Jurassic World collectables are more than just toys. They’re meaningful, beautifully crafted and personal ways to connect with the fandom.

Jurassic World Collectables Aren’t Just for Kids

People assume I'm talking about toys when I say I’m into Jurassic World collectables. But, that’s barely scratching the surface. I’m not talking about children’s games and poseable characters. I’m talking about expertly created statues, figures, plushies and clothing.

Collecting Jurassic World merchandise isn't about playtime; it’s about enjoying my passion. I’m not interested in poorly made plastic dinosaurs, but perfectly crafted collectables that tell a story and mean something to fans.

Collecting has become a creative, fulfilling hobby and a reminder of why I love the franchise. It’s not about having the biggest collection; it’s about collecting what resonates with me as a Jurassic Park and Jurassic World fan.

There are plenty of Jurassic World toys out there, and that’s great for kids. They help to keep the franchise alive for younger fans. But, for adults and serious fans, the focus is on high-quality, premium collectables. Jurassic World collectables aren't just toys; they’re tributes and a tangible way to enjoy being a dinosaur enthusiast.

Collectables Draw Adults In, Toys Don’t

If you’re into animals, dinosaurs are the ultimate interest. They’re real, ancient and mysterious. If you’re into fantasy, bringing these creatures back to life through Jurassic Park’s unique science is thrilling. If it’s action that you’re big on, the chase scenes, escapes and dinosaur battles always deliver.

With its emotional character arcs and evolving relationships, Jurassic Park continues to draw adults in.  Collectables are the obvious choice if you can’t get enough and want more from the franchise. If seeing the action on the big screen isn’t enough, look into collectables.

Every new movie introduces new creatures, locations, and characters, and with them, new collectables are released. Some collectables pay tribute to the original 90s films, as well as recent releases. There’s always something to look forward to, and it keeps the collection and the fandom alive.

Toys Are for Playing, Collectables Are for Displaying

There’s a big difference between toys and collectables; for me, it all comes down to purpose.

  • Toys are meant to be played with.
  • They’re made for action, movement and fun, especially for kids.
  • Jurassic World collectables are different, as they’re made for displaying.
  • They’re for proudly showing off.
  • They’re a way to add something unique to a living space.
  • They’re not something I throw in a toy box.
  • They're carefully placed on shelves, in glass cabinets or lit on a stand.
  • They’re statements and ways to showcase my passion for the franchise.

They also become instant talking points. It’s fun to share that excitement with others. Even people who aren’t huge fans of Jurassic Park still appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship behind the pieces.

When friends and family come round, I can show off my favourite collectables, which always get them talking. Who knows, my collection might be enough to reacquaint them with the Jurassic Park franchise or make them want to watch the newer Jurassic World films.

Plus, having these items around adds some joy to my everyday life. It’s like keeping some adventure, imagination and nostalgia in my daily routine, whether working from home or relaxing at the weekend, being surrounded by a collection of Jurassic World merchandise continually reminds me why I love the films so much.

FAQs: Jurassic World Collectables

Are Jurassic World collectables worth the price? - For me, yes. Many collectables are limited editions, professionally made and built to last. They’re not mass-market toys; they’re premium pieces. Some even increase in value over time.

What if I run out of space for my Jurassic World collectables? - Space can be a challenge. But, it just makes me selective. Rather than collecting everything, I collect what draws me in the most. A few well-displayed items can say more than a cluttered shelf.

Can you mix Jurassic Park and Jurassic World in the same collection? - Absolutely. My collection spans both, and many collectors do the same. The mix of old and new designs makes for a more interesting display.
